The pinafore dress… Feeling nostalgic

As a child I remember wearing dungarees, dungaree dresses and pinafore dresses all the time! So I am super happy to see them back in the shops again…

So on a recent shopping trip I bought two pinafore dresses.. A denim one and a black/white check one, and I can’t get enough of them!! They are so easy to throw on over a long sleeved top, plain or patterned (of which I have a whole array of colours but hardly ever wear) and they also look great over a shirt, simply pair with leggings or tights and away you go. They look cute with ankle boots for winter but I’m sure to be wearing them with short sleeved tops and converse or sandles right through to Spring/Summer!

I am always looking for styles which suit a hair up look (with two littles to get ready in the morning sometimes I just need to shove my hair up and out the way) and the denim one certainly ticks this box and really suits a messy bun, pony tail or plait!

Pinafore dresses are the ultimate throw on and go outfit! And now one of my wardrobe staples for sure!

The ones I bought are both from Topshop and are a reasonable price. The denim one was £35 and the black/white check one was £36!

Vintage cool, easy to wear, practical and really they don’t even need accessorising!

I can’t wait to get my hands on a cord one.. That really will take me back to my childhood.. #nostalgia!
